Privacy Policy

At RenderShots we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are. RenderShots is operated by Maria Gimena Sozzi Demalde (the owner and data controller), from Argentina, and complies with Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as applicable.

Account data: Email and name provided during registration (managed by Clerk). Images: The architectural images you upload to generate renders. Stored in Vercel Blob Storage. Generated renders: Images produced by AI from your uploads. Stored in Vercel Blob Storage. Usage data: Render history, language and theme preferences, selected configurations. Payment data: Managed entirely by Paddle (Merchant of Record). RenderShots does NOT store credit card data or sensitive financial information.

We share data with the following service providers, each with their own privacy policies: • Clerk (clerk.com): Authentication and account management. Processes email, name, and session data. • Paddle (paddle.com): Payment processing as Merchant of Record. Manages billing, taxes, and financial data. • Google / Gemini API: Render generation. Uploaded images are sent to Google's API for processing. Google may retain data according to their API usage policy. • Vercel: Application hosting, file storage (Blob Storage), and serverless function execution. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon requesting account deletion: • Personal data is deleted within 30 days • Uploaded images and renders are deleted within 30 days • Renders published in the community gallery may remain anonymously (without association to your account) • Billing records are retained according to applicable legal obligations (typically 5-10 years)

Under applicable law, you have the right to: • Access: Request a copy of your personal data • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data • Deletion: Request the deletion of your data • Portability: Receive your data in a structured format • Objection: Object to the processing of your data • Restriction: Request limitation of processing For EU users (GDPR): These rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation. For California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of data (we do not sell data). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@rendershots.com. RenderShots uses only functional and essential cookies: • Authentication cookies (Clerk): To maintain your active session • Local preferences: Language and theme (stored in localStorage, not server cookies) We do NOT use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising. There is no cross-site tracking.

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States (Vercel, Clerk, Google) and the United Kingdom (Paddle). These transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and compliance certifications from providers.

RenderShots is aimed at architecture and design professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18 years of age. If we discover that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it as soon as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified by email or through a notice on the platform at least 15 days in advance. The "last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent version.

RenderShots offers "Sign in with Google" as a way to create and access your account. This section explains specifically how we access, use, store, and share your Google user data, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data we access: When you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares a limited set of basic profile information with us based on the scopes you approve — your name, email address, profile picture, and locale. We do NOT request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service or restricted data. How we use it: We use this data solely for authentication and account management — to create your RenderShots account, identify you, sign you in securely, and send you account-related communications. We do NOT use Google user data for advertising, and we do NOT use it to train AI or machine-learning models. How we store it: Your name and email are stored as your account record. Authentication and session data are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk (clerk.com), acting as a data processor on our behalf, on infrastructure located in the United States. How we share it: We do NOT sell your Google user data, and we do NOT share it with third parties except with Clerk for the sole purpose of providing authentication. We never transfer it for advertising or any unrelated purpose. Retention and deletion: We retain this data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@rendershots.com, after which your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Limited Use: The use and transfer by RenderShots of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
